hair colouring advice

Do you use home hair color? advice.?
Why does it look better when the salons do it? i cant afford the 90.00 to get my hair colored right now, but I need to cover some grays and tone my hair down a bit. I would love to color it a light brown, and apply blonde highlights. Anyone do thier own hair? advice on products? whats the best home color? less damaging?
Salons use better products and they have the training behind it, that’s why it looks better when they do it. I have been doing my own color at home for years. It’s so much cheaper and turns out the same. I refuse to use the box colors from drug store anymore. I always go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy the color and developer. I used to use a box black and it always faded. Then when I switched to the stuff from Sally’s it didn’t fade at all and I’m still trying to get it all out almost a year later. It’s actually very easy to use the good stuff. You just use equal parts color and developer. The color most the time says if you need to use 20 or 30 volume developer. I also see less damage using the better products.
Doing your own hair can be very intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it it’s no big deal.

Hair Breadth Escapes $3.55 I served as assistant pilot on board the merchant vessel Dolphin, bound from Jamaica for London, which had already doubled the southern point of the Island of Cuba, favored by the wind, when one afternoon, I suddenly observed a very suspicious-looking schooner bearing down upon us from the coast. I climbed the mast, with my spy glass, and became convinced that it was a pirate. I directed the capta… |
